Manitoba has a diverse economy, a low unemployment rate, a vibrant culture, music and arts scene, and plenty of natural beauty. Get a world-class education in leading-edge facilities while maintaining a high standard of living that costs less than other major cities in Canada.
Manitoba’s education system and institutions are internationally recognized, with leading-edge facilities and first-rate teachers and professors. From academic programs to flight schools to dance schools, whatever your educational aspirations are you’ll find a program that is right for you.
If you are a full-time post secondary student enrolled at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) you may be able to work while you are enrolled in school. International students who graduate from a DLI may also be eligible to apply for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP).
Note: Not all programs offered at DLIs are eligible. For more information on working in Canada as a student please visit Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)’s website.
When you graduate, stay in Manitoba to build your career and establish a new home. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) prioritizes international students who have graduated from Manitoba institutions and offers a direct pathway to permanent residency through the new International Education Stream.
